ตามรายงานของสื่อในวันที่ 18 กุมภาพันธ์ 2021 รายการ Inkigayo ได้เผย MC คนใหม่
ก่อนหน้านี้ SBS ยืนยันว่า MC ปัจจุบันมินฮยอก MONSTA X, นาอึน April, และแจฮยอน NCT จะออกจากตำแหน่งพิธีกรหลังจากออกอากาศตอนสุดท้ายในวันที่ 28 กุมภาพันธ์ 2021
ผู้ที่บอกว่าเป็นเด็กฝึก SM บอกใบ้เกี่ยวกับยูนิตใหม่ของ NCT ที่มีสมาชิก 7 คน
แม้ว่าเด็กฝึกของ SM Entertainment จะไม่ได้รับอนุญาตให้ใช้โซเชียลมีเดียแต่เด็กฝึกคนดังกล่าวชื่อ Yuchan กล่าวว่าเขาและเด็กฝึกคนอื่นอีก 6 คนได้รับอนุญาตให้ใช้โซเชียลมีเดียก่อนเดบิวต์ ตั้งแต่นั้นมาเขาได้โพสต์วิดีโอการเต้นในห้องซ้อมชื่อดังของค่ายเพลงซึ่งเป็นหลักฐานนิดหน่อยเกี่ยวกับคำกล่าวอ้างของเขา
