ในวันที่ 9 ตุลาคม 2018 งาน American Music Awards 2018 หรือ AMAs 2018 ได้มีการเดินพรมแดงกันก่อนงานประกาศรางวัล
และงานนี้มีศิลปิน K-Pop มาร่วมเดินพรมแดงด้วยอย่าง NCT 127, ทิฟฟานี่ Girls’ Generation หรือคริส อู๋อี้ฟานอดีตสมาชิกวง EXO
หลังจากสิ้นสุดงานพรมแดง AMAs 2018 ได้ประกาศผู้ชนะรางวัล Favorite Social Artist ซึ่งผู้เข้าชิงรางวัลนี้มี BTS, Cardi B, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato และ Shawn Mendes แต่ผู้ได้รับรางวัลนี้คือ BTS!!
