หนุ่มๆได้เข้าร่วมงานประกาศรางวัลปีนี้และ BTS กับ Coldplay แสดงด้วยกันในเพลงล่าสุดของพวกเขา ‘My Universe’
BTS ได้สามรางวัลในปีนี้คือ “Favorite Pop Group” รางวัลนี้ได้เป็นปีที่ 3 ติดต่อกันแล้วและได้รางวัล “Favorite Pop Song” ด้วยซิงเกิ้ล “Butter” และเป็นครั้งแรกของพวกเขาที่ได้รางวัล ‘Artist of the Year’ ซึ่ง BTS เป็นศิลปินเอเชียคนแรกและคนเดียวที่ได้รางวัล ‘Artist of the Year’ จาก American Music Awards และสมาชิกได้กล่าวขอบคุณรวมถึงขอบคุณ ARMY แฟนๆของพวกเขา
